FAQs

Who is Biblical Counselling for?

If you are open to seeking God in your struggles, then biblical counselling may be for you. Those seeking help may come with a range of issues and experiences, such as depression, anxiety, loss, feeling stuck in patterns of destructive or unhelpful behaviour, anger, abuse or relational difficulties.

How many sessions are needed?

The length of counselling varies widely, depending on the issues being discussed. At the initial appointment, we will see if this is a good fit, and discuss the way forward. This usually involves planning for 3-6 sessions before a review.

Appointments

Appointments for individuals cost £60 and last up to 60 mins. Appointments for couples cost £90 and last up to 90 mins.

Both online and in-person appointments in Oxford are possible. Appointments are then offered weekly or fortnightly on an ongoing basis.

An initial appointment does not commit you to continuing with Biblical Counselling – another route may be more appropriate for you at this time.

Financial assistance

Please check with your church leader to see if they can assist with counselling fees. Some churches have hardship funds which they are pleased to use in this way.

Caroline was instrumental in helping me through a very anxious stage. She listened attentively, asked gentle, discerning questions, and wisely pointed me to the promises I have in Christ found in the Psalms. A year on from our sessions I still recall specific things we talked about and feel more equipped, through her counsel, to take anxious thoughts to God’s Word rather than letting them spiral out of control. I am so grateful to her for the time, care and warmth she poured out into my life and highly recommend her as a Biblical Counsellor.
